Hannibal
Had a wonderful trip to Hannibal last weekend with my 2 very best friends in the whole world....Tippi, and her mom Mary came along, and Melissa who brought her daughter Kacee.
We only had Saturday and Sunday but managed to cram in alot of sightseeing. We went into downtown Hannibal and of course toured Mark Twain's childhood home as well as alot of other local attractions....We went to Rockcliffe Mansion http://www.rockcliffemansion.com/ and it was a beautiful home that is supposedly haunted by the family that built it...not in a bad way, just that their energy is still present, I myself do not believe that people who once lived can have their spirits wandering around, however, I do think that sometimes a person, or group of people can have a profound effect on a place that you can feel their history there....Might not make sense the way I explain it but I know what I mean.
We also climbed the stairs (244 of them) to the top of the Mark Twain Memorial Lighthouse
The view was well worth the climb and yet had I known you could drive past the first 135 stairs or so, I definately would have.....
Will be add my own pictures soon.

Great Fun
Here we go kids, my first entry.....so exciting.
Wanted to tell you first of all about this cool site I have found to find inspirationa dn challenges that have inspired me to create some of the best pages I have ever done....it is the TMS site. The Mosy Scrapper
http://www.themosyscrapper.com/ come join us there. Christa, the founder, is going to send me a blinkie (whatever that is) to post here and when you join, mention that you were referred by my blog because until about the middle of August I will earn points towards a summer challenge contest they have been doing...
Also...Drum roll please......They have chosen little ol' me to be their August Guest designer!!!
I will be (among other things) sending out challenges for other artists (yes, we are memory preserving artists) I will also be asking 2 questions every day, one is on anything scrapbook related, and the other is on general topics. Those of you who know me, know that I am naturally pretty curious about people and will have no problem with asking questions....
Anyway....
ON TO OTHER THINGS.
I am going to be issuing a challenge right now for first time visitors to my blog....WE are having a crop in my hometown on Friday evening so for you ladies.....here is your challenge since you will be my first blog followers......in the next 30 days, that is until August 21, create a layout with the following things....
1. Polka dot paper -- either in small quantities or your entire background
2. Solid paper in the color family - GREEN
3. Somewhere on the page you must have a circle...can not be a
letter or a number
4. You must also use something shiny... I don't care what it is as long
as it is shiny
